"Yeah, but most the time the terminator would win. Besides, the terminator would have a gun most the time anyway and then he'd definitely win."
"Yeah, you're probably right. I have to go to the bathroom." Dylan got up and walked down the hall.
I took another bite out of my sandwich, I loved tuna fish sandwiches, but only how my mom made them. With a little less mayo than most people, and carrots instead of pickles. I couldn't understand why people liked pickles in tuna fish. When I went to someone else's house I always had to make sure I said no pickles if they were making tuna fish sandwiches, because otherwise I couldn't eat it, and my mom told me that was rude. I didn't have to worry about it at Dylan's house anymore, I had gone to his house enough times that Dylan's mom knew how I liked them.
"Hey James, do you want to go back outside and keep playing, or do you want to play a video game for awhile?" Dylan's voice came from down the hall. He always wanted to play video games at my house because he didn't have a machine at his house.
"Let's go back outside for awhile, it's going to get dark soon and we can't be outside then, we can play video games then."
"Ok." Dylan said as he walked back into the kitchen. "Just let me finish my sandwich."
"You eat slow. Hey, want to ask my mom if you can stay the night instead of going home at dinner time? We could go the video store and rent a movie."
"Yeah that'd be cool. I'll call my parents first." Dylan hopped back up and ran over to the phone, while I went to ask my mom if it would be ok.
"Mom, can Dylan stay the night instead of going home?"
"Of course he can if his parents say it's ok, Dylan is always welcome here."
"Awesome. Thanks, Mom. And could we maybe go to the video store and rent a movie, too?"
"We'll see." I sprinted back out of her bedroom to the kitchen.
"Dylan, Mom says it's ok if you're parents say it's ok."
"They said it was all right, but my dad is going to pick me up pretty early because he says I have to help him fill in potholes."
"That sucks, but it's cool you get to stay, Mom said we might get to go to the video store, and as long as we're good we should get to."
"Your mom is so nice, man. Mine never lets us do that stuff."
"Your parents are cool though, they take us for hikes and play with us and stuff, my mom never really wants to go do anything."
"Let's go back outside."
"Cool, let me grab my sword, we can pretend to be knights fighting monsters."
"I don't have a sword."
"You can use a stick if you want."
"I think I'll be a wizard instead, but a young cool wizard not an old one with a beard. I'll use pinecones for my fireballs."
